HBOT at BTC Ashburn: Hope for Healing in Northern Virginia

At Brain Treatment Center Ashburn, our mission is to help individuals pursue lasting wellness, starting at the cellular and neurological level. We’re proud to introduce a new addition to our integrative care approach: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), available in July through the Quamvis 320 chamber by OxyHealth.
Whether you’re a parent seeking support for a child with autism, a veteran navigating life after TBI or PTSD, or someone looking to optimize your recovery and resilience, HBOT offers a safe, non-invasive therapy with the potential to support healing across many systems of the body.
What Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy involves breathing concentrated oxygen in a pressurized environment. Inside the Quamvis 320 mild-pressure chamber, the air pressure increases to 1.3 ATA, about 30% greater than normal atmospheric levels. This mild compression allows your body to absorb significantly more oxygen, not just into the lungs, but into the bloodstream and tissues throughout your body.
This oxygen-rich environment can support cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.
What Are the Potential Benefits of HBOT?
While research into HBOT is ongoing, published studies and clinical reports suggest that HBOT may offer therapeutic benefits in the following areas:
Neurological Support
HBOT has shown potential to improve symptoms associated with:
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) (Harch et al., 2012)
Post-stroke recovery (Boussi-Gross et al., 2013)
Autism Spectrum Disorder (Rossignol et al., 2009)
PTSD and cognitive dysfunction (Boussi-Gross et al., 2015)
Whole-Body Wellness
Oxygen is vital for immune health, energy production, and tissue repair. HBOT may be helpful in supporting:
Post-viral fatigue or long COVID
Chronic inflammation
Mitochondrial dysfunction
Post-surgical recovery
Performance & Recovery
Athletes and high performers often use HBOT to:
Enhance muscle recovery
Improve sleep quality
Increase cellular oxygenation for endurance and focus
Please note: While many patients report positive outcomes, HBOT is not a cure for any condition, and individual responses vary. It should be pursued as part of a comprehensive care plan under medical supervision.
Medical Screening for Safety
Before beginning HBOT at BTC Ashburn, each client will undergo a general health evaluation with our licensed nurse practitioner to assess clinical appropriateness.
Additionally, we conduct a blood pressure screening before every session to ensure safe participation and optimal outcomes.
Why We Chose the Quamvis 320 Mild HBOT System
The Quamvis 320 by OxyHealth is a leading mild-pressure hyperbaric system used in clinical settings around the world. Known for its safety, comfort, and spacious design, the chamber is ideal for adults and children, even those who are sensitive to enclosed environments.
Key Features:
Mild pressure at 1.3 ATA for safe, consistent sessions
Medical-grade materials and wide transparent viewing panels
Excellent for neuro-support programs, including autism and PTSD care
FDA-registered Class II medical device
Making HBOT Affordable and Accessible
As part of our commitment to whole-person care, we’re offering HBOT sessions to MeRT patients for just $50 per session, half the typical local rate. This affordable pricing makes it easy to combine HBOT with our other therapies, such as:
MeRT (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy)
SPIN (Somatic Program for Integrative NeuroBalancing)
Red Light Therapy
Cold Laser Therapy
The Listening Program (TLP)
Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes and can be customized for enhanced comfort and impact.
Who Might Consider HBOT?
While individual responses vary, HBOT may be appropriate for individuals with:
Autism Spectrum Disorders – Support for sensory regulation and cognitive function (parents will dive with their children at no additional cost.)
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) – Promote neurovascular healing and oxygen delivery to damaged tissues
PTSD or Depression – Encourage balance and resilience in the nervous system
Chronic Fatigue or Inflammation – Support immune and mitochondrial health
Athletic Recovery – Enhance stamina, tissue repair, and mental clarity
Ready to Explore HBOT?
We’re here to answer your questions and help determine if HBOT is a good fit for your care plan. Whether you’re already engaged in MeRT, SPIN, or functional medicine, or you’re looking for a gentle, non-pharmaceutical option to support recovery, HBOT may be a meaningful addition.
