How SPIN Works

SPIN is a comprehensive neurodevelopmental program, overseen by an Occupational Therapist, that incorporates multiple therapeutic modalities to address primitive reflex integration, postural control, sensory regulation, and cognitive function. Our approach is rooted in science and tailored to each individual, ensuring a customized experience that fosters neurological growth and self-regulation.

Key Features of SPIN

3 Sessions per Week

SPIN is conducted three times weekly in our clinic, offering consistency and structure for optimal results. Each session lasts approximately one hour.

Guidance from an Experienced Occupational Therapist

SPIN is overseen by a highly experienced occupational therapist who brings a robust background in sensory integration, myofascial release, and neurodevelopmental therapies. Every participant receives a dedicated weekly session with the OT, ensuring expert guidance and personalized support.

Standalone or Complementary

The SPIN program can be pursued independently or combined with our MeRT (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy)for enhanced therapeutic outcomes.

Customized Care

Every participant’s plan is tailored to their specific needs, focusing on integrative techniques for mind-body alignment, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being.

SPIN

At Brain Treatment Center Ashburn, we understand that neurological health is deeply connected to the body’s ability to regulate movement, sensory processing, and emotional balance. Our SPIN (Somatic Program for Integrative NeuroBalancing) is a multifaceted program designed to support individuals with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, and neurodevelopmental challenges. By integrating cutting-edge therapies with movement-based exercises, we help the brain and body work in sync for improved function and well-being.

A Comprehensive Approach to Brain & Body Balance

Kids Running

Myofascial release in SPIN’s occupational therapy component helps reduce tension, improve mobility, and support nervous system regulation. This hands-on technique promotes relaxation, enhances sensory processing, and fosters better mind-body connection for overall well-being.

Myofascial Release

The combination of Miello Method exercises and Dynamic Body Balancing in SPIN promotes optimal neurological function by addressing structural imbalances and enhancing nervous system regulation. Miello Method exercises improve sensory processing and motor coordination, while Dynamic Body Balancing uses gentle, hands-on techniques to release tension and restore alignment. Together, these approaches create a strong foundation for improved focus, emotional stability, and overall well-being.

NeuroBalance

A structured brain training program designed to enhance cognitive function, motor coordination, and sensory integration by addressing neurological imbalances. This program is similar to other neurodevelopmental training programs but includes a broader range of advanced therapeutic techniques for a more customized and holistic experience

Occupational Therapy

A non-invasive, light-based therapy that helps stimulate neural pathways and supports the integration of retained primitive reflexes, improving motor control, focus, and emotional regulation.

QRI Cold Laser Therapy for Reflex Integration

SPIN Components

A research-backed therapy that uses specially designed sound frequencies to enhance auditory processing, attention, and emotional balance.

The Listening Program® (TLP) for Auditory Integration

A customized approach to help individuals with sensory sensitivities and processing challenges, promoting better adaptability to touch, sound, movement, and spatial awareness.

Sensory Integration Therapy

Carefully designed exercises that support neuroplasticity, coordination, balance, and motor planning, allowing for smoother integration of neurological function.

Movement-Based Therapies

JOOVV red light therapy to support cellular regeneration, reduce inflammation, and enhance neurological function. This non-invasive therapy helps optimize mitochondrial activity, promoting faster recovery, improved focus, and overall nervous system regulation. Combined with our other modalities, red light therapy plays a key role in restoring balance and supporting long-term brain and body wellness.

As part of the SPIN Program, our nutrition coaching focuses on optimizing brain and body function through targeted dietary strategies. We assess nutrient deficiencies, gut health, and metabolic needs to create personalized nutrition plans that support neurological balance, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall well-being. By addressing the root causes of imbalance, we help individuals fuel their bodies for optimal cognitive and physical performance.

Breathwork is a powerful tool for regulating the nervous system, reducing stress, and enhancing focus. By using intentional breathing techniques, SPIN helps improve emotional balance, support brain function, and promote overall well-being.
